Editing #2

In todays session, we were matching up the lyrics to the footage, ensuring it looks like our main character is actually in line with the song. We had to be careful and make sure it is lip-synched perfectly as the examiner looks out for this.

Editing #1

Today we looked at all the footage we had and were selecting good footage and discarding unnecessary footage. We started off editing in premiere pro and making a roughcut. In the beginning of our music video we wanted a montage. It was difficult as we didn't know what footage would best suit it without giving the whole narrative away.

We were in the TV studio again, filming our actor lip syncing against different colour lightings.

Filming day 3

Today we filmed in the TV studio. we wanted our main actor to be lip syncing in a plain background and the tv studio would be perfect. We put transparent orange coloured paper over the lights so it gives a orange cast on the actor. This was successful and looked great on camera. We decided orange would be a key colour running through or music video, giving it some sort of a theme.

Filming Day 2

Today we filmed in SouthBank in multiple backgrounds. First we were taking establishing shots of the locations and then went to the skate park as they had graffiti walls which suited our genre. We went to the outdoor restaurants that had a appealing mise-en-scene.

Filming day 1

Today we filmed at Gods Own Junkyard. at first we had some issues with bookings. We had emailed the owner who did not respond and because we really wanted to film in this location, we went to them in person and asked. They said we could film today for a few hours and so we did. In less than two hours we filmed everything we needed. We filmed using a variety of angles and shot types including mid shots, low level angles, high level angles and more.
