Team meeting - storyboard part 2

The next lesson we continued with our storyboard. It took a while to figure out what shots we wanted for the montage as it had to give us a little insight to the story but not completely give it away. After the montage we did the beginning of the narrative. Because it was taking quite some time, i finished the rest off at home. I had to ensure i listened to the song carefully, looking at the lyrics and seconds so i can include it on the storyboard. We wanted the visuals to amplify the lyrics so i looked at the lyrics carefully and had some visuals match with the lyrics. For example, one of the lyrics in the beginning of the songs is "These girls all want me" and for the visuals we had a long shot of the main character standing still, with a few girls arms holding on to his waist and upper body etc to connote loads of girls want him as the lyrics suggests.

Storyboard session 1

In today's lesson we started our storyboard. we decided to have a montage in the beginning of our music video which required us to do more shots. In our shots we included camera angle, shot type, length and a brief summary of what happens in the shot.

Looking at locations

One of the locations we were worried about was the Kings Cross Light Tunnel. We didn't know if it was actually real of if it lit up 24 hours and we really liked the look of it from the pictures on the website.Other than that, there were no reviews or comments about the tunnel. We went to the Light Tunnel to check it our for ourselves and we found out it actually existed and it isn't packed full of people.

Team meeting

One of the obstacles me and my group had to face were the unreliability of actors. We had an actor who said he'll be the main character but a week later he wasn't so sure. We couldn't wait for a response as we were running out of time. We then started looking for another reliable actor and found a student at college who said he wanted to do it.
